About Nios
Nios measures the environmental impacts of the goods and services your organization buys, the boundary the GHG Protocol defines as Scope 3.1. Nios applies the same boundary to nature and climate impacts, from raw material extraction to the supplier's gate, called cradle to gate. You collect spend or quantity data, each purchase gets an economic sector, and Nios calculates environmental pressures and impacts with environmentally extended input-output data (GLORIA, EXIOBASE) and the LC-Impact method.

Why Nios
