Overview
Read your calculated nature and climate impacts.
The Impacts page shows the results of every calculated activity in your project. It reads the stored results, so ecosystem weighting and base currency apply as soon as you change them.
Charts and results
The results appear in two places, and you can export both:
| Charts | Results sheet | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | The Impacts page | Results on the Impacts page |
| What it shows | Totals, rankings, and hotspots across your purchases | Every value per activity: each metric's pressure, impact, and intensity, and how Nios calculated it |
| Use it to | Find where your impact comes from | Check and trace single numbers |
| Export | Export all charts, or one card's export button, as PNG or SVG | Export results as an .xlsx workbook |
See Impact dashboard and Results and export.
Nature and Climate
The page has two lenses:
- Nature: Biodiversity impact in PDF·yr across terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems, grouped by the four pressure categories Ecosystem Use, Climate Change, Resource Exploitation, and Pollution.
- Climate: GHG emissions in t CO₂e, shown as Total emissions.
The Climate lens shows emissions, not the biodiversity impact of climate change. That impact is part of the Nature lens, under Climate Change.
PDF·yr, the potentially disappeared fraction of species over a year, compares biodiversity loss risk across pressures, regions, and purchases. Don't read it as a count of species lost. See Methodology.
Total impact and intensity
The Display control switches the charts between two views:
- Total impact: The absolute impact, or Total emissions on Climate.
- Intensity: Impact per unit of spend in your base currency, for example PDF·yr/EUR. Use it to compare purchases of different size.
Intensity counts only activities with spend. When some activities have none, the chart says so, for example "Based on 18 of 21 activities with spend data".
