Agent mode

Use Agent mode when you want Nios to actively perform and automate tasks for you.

For example, you can:

• Generate a Bill of Materials based on your inputs
• Calculate and analyze environmental impacts
• Perform more complex assessments or comparisons across products or suppliers
• Update and refine your data when you make adjustments

Think of it as your hands-on assistant that can take action, run analyses, and deliver results, not just answer questions.

Ask mode

Use Ask mode when you simply want to explore or understand your data without changing anything.

For example, you can:

• Ask clarifying questions about your measurements
• Get explanations of methods, results, or data sources
• Learn how specific impacts are calculated

It's your safe space for discovery. It is perfect for analysis and understanding, without altering any project data.
